Biodiversity Conservation India Pvt. Ltd (ZED Homes)

There can be no better compliment than a competitor in the real estate segment in Bangalore, Vakil Developers, writing in their website about BCIL: We are not environment-conscious developers. No, that distinction solely belongs to BCIL. Truly, an outstanding effort. Worthy of recognition and applause. We have a lot t learn (from BCIL) and miles to go.
We are small. We believe in keeping our reflex supple, and retaining personal connect with our customers and stakeholders. We are constantly thinking out of the box to derive solutions to building homes and workspaces that consume less energy in the making and critically in energy savings that they can bring to users of such buildings over long years

More About BCIL T Zed

BCIL T Zed, located in Old Airport Road, Bangalore is yet another project of Biodiversity Conservation India Limited.

ZED stands for Zero Emission Development. Every home is designed with over 48 different technologies to make it intelligent and respond to people needs. Here is a campus which has no water supply connection from the outside. We grow our own water with a unique network of shallow, open wells that supply all water needs of the campus, without the need for deep borewells that deplete groundwater resources. There is no sewerage connection for this campus. All waste water is treated and reused for gardens in a way that such water eventually percolates into the open wells and so completes the loop of use, treatment and reuse. We consume only 60 per cent of energy demand of a 100 houses anywhere else. Residents pay 30 per cent less on power and 20 per cent less on monthly maintenance. This is India’s first centrally air-conditioned (with no CFC and HCFC) residential campus. This is the first residential campus in India which is acquiring certification for carbon credits and sequestration for not only the campus but also for its residents. Every resident stands to gain about Rs. 12,000/- on an annual basis, thanks to carbon credit savings in T-Zed.
