Here are five qualities of a Good Tenant
- Comply with the conditions: Read your rental or lease agreement and comply with condition of rental agreement. Refrain from damaging the premises or from allowing your guests or friends to cause damage. Pay Rent, water and electricity bill in time.
- Good Reference: A landlord always checks the background of their prospective tenant before giving their premises or property for rent or lease. It is very important to have good and pleasing relation with your previous landlord for your good reference.
- Repair in Time: For things that need to be replaced, checked or fixed in your house, do it if you can or hire someone to do it for you. Check your agreement, if you are entitled to seek help from your landlord about it. Some landlords repair or replace things free of cost for good tenants.
- Clean up and keep things in order: If you have visitors over, make sure to limit your party time or go someplace else to continue the fun. Keep your rental unit clean, and properly dispose of garbage.
- Prior Notice: Give prior notice to your landlord if ever you have plans of moving as stated on your lease agreement. Don’t forget, your landlord will serve as your reference to the next. A good tenant finds it easy to get back their security deposit and settle things smoothly with their landlord.
