International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year. The day is also known as International Working Women’s Day which was observed on 28th February, 1909 by the Socialist Party of America to honour the women workers who protested against working conditions. In 2015, International Women’s Day falls on Sunday and the Official UN themes for International Women’s Day 2015 is “Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity: Picture it!”
Things you can do on this Women’s Day
Awards for women: The residents of apartment communities or Apartment owners associations can conduct special events on the day with games and awards for women to appreciate their contributions in different roles like working professional, housewife or maid in the apartment community.
Empowering Women: Women are the nucleus of any home. Nowadays, a woman not only takes care of the household chores but also contibutes to the savings and income of a family.
