8 Creative DIY Christmas Craft Kids Can Make

Christmas Craft ideasOnce you become a parent, you know how much you will loathe for the holidays as it is much more fun when you are celebrating as a family. Your kids will eager to help you so much and it is the right time to teach them a few tricks of decorating your home.

  1. Unleash their creative side: You can ask you children to create their own painting and this time you can join hands with them as well. Pin it up on your fridge or you even give them as the gift to the grandparents. You can also decorate them on the tree or in the room where you would like to flaunt them.
  2. Bake a cookie: Ask you sweet little ones to help you out on rolling the cookie dough. Give them interesting cutters and let them play! Bake them and once it is cool enough, give them some frostings to decorate it. Want a simple frosting? Cream cheese or peanut butter is more than enough to life the taste of the cookie.
  3. Snow Flakes: Are you in a place where you really can’t experience snow? Well, then bring them home with these amazing paper snowflakes which is quite basic. You can put them out in different colors and overlay/interweave to create some amazing effects at home.
  4. Paper stars: As simple as it is sounds, this one is fun to make. You can use them on your Christmas trees, indoor wreaths, and also door decorations. You can also use them in sticking on to the gifts you were planning to give away. With multiple usages you are going to need more and more, what’s the best way to engage your child?
  5. Make a Snow Globe: Snow globe is a great addition to your side table and gives you a relaxing feeling when you are in the couch sipping the hot chocolate. All you need is a glass jar with a tight lid, waterproof glue, glitter, liquid glycerin, and distilled water. Let your child pick a figure which you can glue it inside the lid and let it dry. Now, fill it with a good amount of glycerin (say a teaspoon), water, and glitter. Close the lid tightly and now time to flip!
  6. Create a countdown calendar: Prepare a calendar with the wishes of kids of the New Year and keep a countdown. You can hang it on their room or in the kitchen counter. With each day born, there is a hope for the wishes to come true.
  7. Stockings: Have old clothes of your kids? Then cut them like a sock and staple the edges. Leave the top open and you can decorate it with buttons. Ta-da, a wonderful and bright stockings ready to go up on the walls and doors.
  8. Nativity Scene: Christmas Crib or nativity scene is a depiction of the birth of Jesus. There is a proper arrangement or order for the nativity scene arrangement. You can arrange a nativity scene under a Christmas tree or create a nativity scene as the focal point of the decor, but central position in any nativity scene should be occupied by the Christ child and figure closest to Christ child should be Christ’s mother the Virgin Mary.
