Making the most of every space in your apartment is quite an ingenious and tricky task. The latest decor trend is to create more space in your apartment be it as a necessity or simplicity. Who says that a compact home cannot be compatible with comfort and aesthetics? Here is a checklist.
Ensure that you make your home clutter free as this creates more space and helps you to maintain it easily. Start by decluttering your drawers, closets and cabinets to dispose obsolete items. This way you can increase the space in your apartment.
Get hold of items which are used occasionally and organize them on higher shelves and stacked boxes. Stack up the occasional items in a particular room with labels on them.
Having bed closets can create more space under your beds by elevating them about one foot. Objects like blankets, pillows and throws can be kept in these underneath bed closets. Having a loft bed for your child’s room is not a bad idea as this can give ample space underneath and behind the bed.
Think of unusual options like storing toiletries and beauty products in bottom and dresser drawers. This will also free your bathroom of the clutter. Storage objects like chests, suitcases and others can be used to store blankets, bed sheets and other fabrics. Tote bags and unused handbags can be used to store accessories like hats, caps, socks, scarfs etc. Also you can store smaller items in bookshelves.
Always buy multipurpose furniture with storage and space in mind. Buy a bed or a sofa with a storage space beneath. The underneath spaces can be used to store bedding.
