With the introduction of electricity, decorating Christmas tree with lights has become much safer and now an array of different types of lighting are available in the market. Here are some Christmas tree lighting ideas and DIY tips.
Splurge with traditional incandescent lights:
Decorate your Christmas tree with either large or miniature sized incandescent lights. The commonly used bulbs which are available in colors like white, frosted or clear shade can be mounted on a Christmas tree with a candelabra base. They are easy to change when non- functional and are also available in strings of 25 bulbs connected in a parallel position. You can also go for 100- bulb or 1000-bulb string if you need many bulbs.
DIY Tip: Make your Christmas tree unique by buying a pair of traditional incandescent lights and making your own cases (crystals, balls, flowers, fruits and vegetable shapes) for them.
Saving electricity with LED lights:
LED lights are best known for their power saving quality when compared to incandescent lights. Even though they are higher in cost, LED lights are worth spending the money. Studies show that electricity consumed by an incandescent light is 10 times more than an LED light followed by a longer life span. This way, LED lights don’t need to be replaced frequently. They are available in miniatures, tapers, globes, and novelty bulbs. A Christmas tree with LED lights can be an enchanting sight.
