Different types of outdoor lighting

There are three different types of outdoor lighting, read below to know more.
Accent Lighting
To accentuate certain features like landscaping objects, a smaller area or an architectural feature, accent lighting is used. They can be further used as up lights, back lights and specialty lights. Basically, this light is used as spotlight and they focus upright on some structure like a tree or a fountain to make it more prominent.
Back lights are used to create shadow and form dramatic effects. Lights can be used in different and creative ways such as string lights, torches, underwater lights, hanging lanterns, tiered lights which can be intelligently used to create a desired ambiance for any event or mood.
Security Lighting
Path lighting are used for security reasons and can be placed along the walkway or driveway or even the informal paths. They create a warm and soft environment as they spread out light. They work very good for front yards as well as back yards.
Task Lighting
The outdoor task lighting provides enough illumination in the areas where you work or your kids play such as decks, docks, patios, sports courts, outdoor kitchens or seating areas etc. This is generally very low voltage lighting where the brightness can be turned off or made dim anytime without needing any extra fixtures.
The above ones are artificial lights which run through electricity. Where as, you can have solar lights which have gained popularity for saving electricity.
