Confetti drops:
Cut colored tissue or crepe paper into stripes to form a heap of paper. You can either fill in the confetti in the balloons or have a large cloth mounted on the ceiling filled with confetti, rose petals and glitters. If you are having hammock confetti storage, fill them with balloons as well. Apart from paper confetti you can also have flower confetti.

Resolution journal:
Make a resolution journal for your guests and place it on a table. Make a large booklet using colored cardboard papers and fold the larger piece in half like a greeting card. Stick the smaller pieces inside lengthwise and staple them together along the crease in the cover. Decorate the booklet cover with glitters, dry flowers and stickers. Make it more interesting by having a picture on each page of the booklet. You can also have a large white board to avoid the labours.

Ball chandelier:
Create a great center piece by making a ball chandelier out of Christmas balls or paper balls. For paper balls, get a pair of honeycomb paper and glue it together to make a ball. Make a string of 8 with at least four to five paper balls. Get a round metal form and attach the paper ball strands appropriately around the circled form. Decorate the paper balls with glitter and beads.

Shimmering streamers:
Cut cardboard pieces in circles and spray them with silver or copper polish on both the sides. Punch holes on both the top and bottom of the circles. Connect these circles using jump rings as in the picture and use the largest circle at top followed by small sized circles. Create a strand with 4-5 circles to make more streamers. Get a thumbtack and install it on the ceiling attached with the streamers.

Glitter candles:

New Year eve’s disco ball:
This is a must for every New Year party. The sparkly disco ball decoration can be made at home with a ball, felt cover, mirror pieces and shining stones. Choose a leather/plastic ball with a size which can be a great focal point in a room. Cover the ball with a bright coloured felt and glue all the ends carefully. Make a plain string and attach it to the felt covered ball. Glue the mirror and sparkling stone pieces on the surface leaving spaces or you can even cover the entire ball with the mirror to make it more sparkling.

Party hat:
This one is just easier to make. Cut four circles out of a cardboard sheet and cut each circle into half. Join the halved circles with the help of glue to form a hat. You can decorate it with glitter glue, ribbons, pom poms and shining strings. Line the cone opening with a string of tinsel to make it look fuzzy.

Paper clocks:
Make your New Year zealous by creating your own paper clocks from colorful cardboard papers. Cut wide, lengthy stripes of coloured paper and fold them like how you fold while making an origami snake. Glue the ends of the folded paper and push a pin through the centre of the clock. Make and cut out the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 with the same coloured paper and stick them on the clock appropriately. Make clock needles with the help of two different sized ice cream sticks stuck with a little triangle at the ends like that in the picture.

New Year wreath:
Create a neat decorative wreath for your door using coloured card board papers. Choose a pattern of flowers and draw them on the cardboard paper. Make 3-4 similar patterns and cut them out neatly as shown in the picture. Attach each flower with the help of a ribbon and put a designed paper with the year written on it in the centre of the wreath.
