How to make sock puppet?
It’s vacation time for kids and you are pondering over ways to make your kid engaged. Teaching them some simple but wonderful crafts will be a great idea, as it not only keep them busy and entertained, but also improves their creativity and artistic expressions.

Tips to make sock puppet
Required Things: All you need is some unused or old socks, paper, sketch pens, glue, buttons if any, ribbons, beads, scissors and yarn. You can make a variety of characters with just these.
How to make:
Slip your hand into the sock to give it a shape and take a moment to brush up your imagination to create fun faces!
Ask your child to draw 2 eyes on a paper and help him/her to carefully cut it out. He/she can colour white paper and cut or use buttons instead.
Stick the eyes to the sock as if it looks like a face. You can also draw two eyes with a marker.
Add some funky hair on its head by sticking some yarns and decorate it with ribbons or button.
Cut out a tongue shape with paper and color it red.If you have red colored paper, that’s enough. Glue it over the puppets mouth.
The sock puppet is ready! And now, you can tell your kid to name it and call it as his/her friend. Talk to him and have fun by making your sock talk by the movement of your hands.
While doing crafts with your children, never force him to complete a project. Let the interest come from him. Instead of it, encourage them and offer small rewards when they finish something. A sock puppet is an ideal one to start your child’s craft sessions, as it is very simple.
