My apartment doesn't have any fire security measures. How to avoid an unfortunate fire accident?

Q: I am staying in an apartment which is 17 years old. Unlike the new apartments, our apartment has no fire safety equipments. Even we are not aware on how to take safety precautions against fire accidents. Anyone suggest me a good solution for it.

According to a survey, the apartments constructed after the year 2005 are packed with fire safety measures. But the old apartments made before the year 2005 doesn't involve such measures. If you belong to an old apartment, then you should contact your apartment owner to raise this issue. You should also discuss this matter in the general body meeting. It is mandatory to install the fire emergency services in your apartment.
