Q: My father has purchased a flat many years ago and now I want to sell the flat. But there is some problems that the documents of the flat is not properly done. What are the essential papers a buyer will demand?

A buyer can ask you the documents for the chain of the title of the property, conveyance deeds in favour of your father's name, up to date all the receipts are required for the payment of property tax, then you required the documents of recording in the revenue records to transfer the title of the property from one person to another and the documents required how the ownership came under your father's ownership. If you do not have all the documents then you have to file a FIR for the same and all these facts have to be included in your Sales Agreement Conveyance Deeds.
