It is great to hear Waste treatment to be installed in every flat of Kochi. This will reduce burden of municipal corporation and flat owners can process or dispose waste and managing of waste materials in their apartment community.An eco-friendly solid waste management system in the high rise apartments focus on health, hygiene and safety of residents in flat and neighborhood. Now it is mandatory for all apartment communities to install a waste treatment plant in their community.

Waste treatment is the process of collecting and processing or disposal and managing of waste materials. If this project is successfully implemented then Kochi will become the first city in the country to have waste processing unit. They are also planning to install bio-bins in the city. The government has issued an order to make the waste treatment mandatory for all flats.
