Q: For getting interiors done in our own flat why should we pay 2000 rupees for a work permit? Why should the flat owners pay the electricity bill from the time the meters have been setup. They should pay it from the time the flat has been handed over. For an unoccupied flat one should not have to pay the full maintenance amount
Yes Shilpa, I agree with you. We should pay the electricity charges only when the flat has been handed over to us. If we are not the owner of the flat then there is no point of paying the charges. If you are the owner of the flat and for some reason the flat is left unoccupied then also you have to pay the maintenance charges.
The paying for permit for interior work is a new rule introduced by the building association. The builder does not have anything to do with it. About the electricity charges, the minimal electricity charges have to be paid but what I am asking is the owners should pay these charges from the time of the handover of the flat and not from the time the meters have been set when the flat did not even belong to them.
Hey Shilpa, for interior issue may be there is some rules and regulations of paying permit for interior work. If there is no such rule then you have to talk with the builder . For electricity bill yes if the flat is unoccupied also you have to pay the minimal electricity charges.
