You can also keep few colored/ painted pots of different sizes near the entrance area. Pottery looks cool and appealing. As Reshma has suggested flowers are the best beautifying elements in any place.

Few things have to be taken care of, like paint your main door and front walls with suitable colors, arrange some flowering plants in pots or on land in the entrance, replace the old name and number boards with new ones.
