It also allows to appoint an officer to ensure that there are no unauthorized constructions. This is a good thing for buyers but builders are not happy anyway.

According to the amendment, any official allowing unauthorized constructions have to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 or will be punished by imprisonment for a month.
