Q: Nowadays many farmers are selling of their farmlands to builders. Why are they selling agriculture lands?

The farmers suffered financial losses because of no rains, groundwater depletion and fluctuating prices for crops.. So now many of them have decided that instead of facing all these losses it is better to sell of the land itself..

Hey friends.. farmers are incurring loss and government is not helping them in any regard.. so they have no choice..

Yes, you are right Dev.. But factors such as drought, government apathy, lack of irrigation facilities have forced farmers to sell their farming land.

Fertile agriculture land is being converted into apartment complexes and layouts.. This is not good for the eco-system for long..

Since Chikaballapur is close to Bangalore, fast growth is observed in land sales and development in this place. So buyers are buying as many plots as possible..
