How to Reduce iritating noise from thermocol ceiling when fan is on?

Q: I have got an office room in terrace which has Aspestos sheet and below that thermocol ceiling. We have just installed fan using pipe from the original ceiling below the thermocol ceiling. Now we are facing two issues:

1.Thermocol is producing really a lot of noise that's equal to a big generator which is used in corporates.
2.Stretching hands will touch the fan and it will definitely hurt the hand.

Please suggest best ideas to be safe and to keep the room calm. It's really irritating!

Thanks
Karthic Gurnani

Hi Karthik..why don't you try wall mounted fans. I think it will not cost more and will give sufficient air with no noise. Moreover it will also look professional.

Hi Rituraj, thanks for that option. But my electrician said that it will come off of wall or the plate that connects to the wall will break since it's all coming only in pvc material which is not reliable. Do you have any idea about it. good day!

Hi Kunal & Govinda,

Those are nice suggestions. But as I believe, ceiling fans would look more professional as it's an institute. And infact, there was a fan before which was noiseless. But as it was landlord's, we removed that and gave to him. But even as height is an other disadvantage, I guess I'll be settling either with standing fan or cooler as you guys have suggested.

Hey Karthik..you can also go for few table fans ..and yes if you have window you can set up a exhaust-er which will give fresh air and moreover no noise also.

Hi Karhtik..to avoid the noise generated from thermocol ceiling..you should replace the ceiling fan with a cooler. It will be economical also.
