Media Coverage and the Emaar MGF Scam

Q: Emaar MGF, the joint venture of Emaar & MGF in the Indian real estate sector recently saw its share of controversy in the alleged Emaar MGF scam in Hyderabad. Media added more fuel to the fire by further highlighting the company in order to draw good leverage from a multi-national brand rather than a local government body that people hardly knew. Although media coverage tried putting the real estate company under bad light, Emaar is continuously taking small and firm steps in the Indian real estate market with new projects in different states of the country including Delhi & NCR.
