away from the river. Although UP government refused to give away land
in and around the bird sanctuary and sand mound near the Yamuna,
bringing the project to a halt

The bypass will be an additional road between Delhi and Faridabad which will cover the 13.2KM distance between DND flyover (Delhi side) and Kailgaon village along the Yamuna bank.
