Hi, As per sources, many people were given possession of these flats a couple of years back, DDA is as yet completing development work. Many open pits and lift shafts are not blockaded. Of the 4 societies, there is a society named Ganga, which is the most extremely terrible affected society.
It is horrible that old people need to climb stairs as there are no lifts in many blocks. There are only 2 or 3 lifts in Ganga society and that too are not working. Another significant issue is of fire safety. Firefighting equipment is there, yet it is not associated with the water supply. However, DDA has taken a huge amount of cash for the sake of maintenance charge.
Safety & lift are issues here, as well as development quality is another real issue here. Residents complained of the low quality of construction. As per residents, the overhead tanks are spilling because of which there is leakage in the majority of the buildings. Likewise, the basements are overflowed with sewer water, prompting unhygienic situation.
In a few societies, parking plot has not been allotted to residents, so they have to park their vehicle outside, which is not safe. The parking area is overwhelmed with sewer water. However many complaints are given to DDA and LG office, but not a single action has been taken by DDA.
Hi Guys, Many people have taken large loans for these apartments. In spite of gathering crores of rupees as maintenance, DDA is not giving basic amenities & services. There are potholes in roads, in many places pavements are broken, lifts are not operational in a few blocks in some societies.
Hi Sukhpreet, According to latest news, residents of Commonwealth Games flats in Vasant Kunj arranged a protest against Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for absence of maintenance. They said DDA has neglected to give basic amenities in the 4 societies regardless of taking crores of rupees as maintenance charges.
According to sources, because of blame game in the middle of DDA and South Corporation, numerous illegal development is going on. According to residents, every general society had paid near Rs 22Cr as maintenance charges and DDA should keep up the area for a long time, 30years.
You guys we cant simply blame the developer, the authority is also equally responsible for this lack... They never take proper decision on time... hence we buyers have to face problems...
The clubhouse is awaiting OC from DDA. The necessary formalities for putting the furniture in place are in progress but it would be installed after receipt of completion certificate from DDA....
How about the contract that speaks that the buyers were promised membership in the DDA sports complex next door??but that has not happened! How to even trust small builders when big builder can do such things...
Strange that from outside, this apartments looks good, but looking at the complains i doubt if the rest of the unsold inventories will get good value or not.
Some of my relatives who stay there have told that tiles have been falling off. Some owners walked in on damaged wooden flooring as water had seeped in.... Very sad!!
hmmm yes ,... all this news are realy disturbing.... also the i have heard that the common facilities such as the clubhouse, shops and the swimming pool are not even operational because DDA is yet to give a completion certificate to Emaar-MGF ... :(
How can we forget the fact that there are no markets nearby ..... the initial struggle starts from buying vegetables to groceries and other stuff such as milk, bread and even medicines. None of these are available close by. So i guess before the units were constructed... the developers should have taken care of the Social infra!
Guys i wil tell you the main reason of the this !!!! The complex is currently being maintained by money paid by 300-odd individuals and corporates who had bought apartments from Emaar-MGF as Delhi Development Authority (DDA), which owns over 722 of these apartments, has not started paying its share of the maintenance. Hence when the fund is less, how can you expect that there will be good maintenance??? why to blame the authority?
Yes , you have heard the true fact, that CWG flats are lacking in maintenance.... You know these were supposed to be the most luxurious apartments of India. The apartments promised that all amenities will be provided. People from Olympic sports facilities, top businessmen, politicians and celebrities have invested in this apartments but the Commonwealth Games Village has just been a bag of worries for the apartment owners. Due to lack of maintenance!
Firstly guys i would like to pin point on the the fact that around 100 apartments were occupied out the 1168 luxury apartments. Now the issue came up that the maintenance is shabby and portions of the basement got flooded during the monsoon. Even residents are complaining that the club house and swimming pool aren't operational, and there are no basic amenities. But i have doubts regarding how much action will be taken regarding this matter....
