Delhi seriously needs some traffic controller... i think is the country’s vehicular population. city. It would be pertinent to mention that Delhi, at present, has almost 75 lakh vehicles and if seriously something this happens it will be a great relief.

Hope Ankita, Congress really do some thing to the problem.. the proposal is good.. waiting for the sanction and let see how much time will it take to be operational!

Hmm i have also enquired about the fact! I have come across that experts say that the double-decker roads are most suitable option for Delhi to ease traffic congestion as there are space constraint in Delhi. Moreover new flyovers are no longer helpful in clearing the congestion.

Hey all ,, not all the the elevated road the project also has additional lanes to the existing roads that will help the traffic to move and construction of new access roads to help ease congestion and facilitating faster movement of traffic.

Till now the plan is yet to be sanctioned but they have planed that there will be two options for the double-decker-roads project one East West corridor from Pragati Maidan to Punjabi Bagh via New Delhi railway station, Rohtak Road, and the other is from Dhaula Kuan to Mukarba Chowk.

Yes Jashan there is a news that Congress is coming up with a new plan to have double decker road in Delhi. This will help to decongestant the traffic on peak times. This might be a tactics to bag votes but if this happens in real , will be a great relief for the Delhi people!
