@Mritunjoy: Heard that the authorities said they had already written letters to the APCPDCL and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board asking them not to provide electricity and drinking water connections to the occupants until the owners produce an occupancy certificate from the GHMC. Also the plot owners still managed to obtain water and electricity connections.
Hey the GHMC has not been giving approvals so some realtors have started raising buildings with the blessings of the town planning authorities and local politicians. Also most of those who have bought the plots here belong to the lower middle class and are in a hurry to build houses ignoring the fact the land ownership is embroiled in a legal dispute.
Hey even I heard this news that hundreds of unauthorized buildings have been constructed on the disputed land at Gokul Plots area in Hafeezpet which is allegedly aided by local politicians.
Yes and also by ignoring these illegal constructions, the GHMC has not only allowed rules to be blatantly violated, but is also losing out on several crores of rupees in the form of building fee, betterment charges and property ta..so one.
@Vivek, Supratim: I heard from sources that the town planning officials have not been able to demolish a single structure due to the involvement of some local politicians and also civic officials.
Hey the 107 acres of land in survey No 78 of Hafeezpet village has been in controversy over ownership issue for the past few decades and with both the state government and a private company staking claim.
