Hey people but there are developers who are not disappointed about this fall! According to DLF they did not expect any big sales in the festive season. People are busy, even we are busy with family engagements. So, there is less of movement in the business.

but that does not mean that we ignore the fact and it remains that the scenario in 2013 was bleak. New property launches in the residential segment across cities declined 12 per cent in the year,

Hmm guys according to the reports, Chennai recording the sharpest drop at 39 per cent, followed by the National Capital Region at 33 per cent and Pune at 20 per cent. Whereas Mumbai recorded just 6 per cent growth in launches.

Actually guys everyone is speaking about this, that instead of high demand and blockbuster sales characteristic of the period, developers had to resort to freebies and discount schemes to lure customers. And yet, the season, which normally accounts for as much as 25 per cent of the total annual sales of houses, remained sluggish.

I think the main reason behind this is there is a wide gap between affordability and pricing, which is why sales are not happening. There is no oversupply. It is just that supply has out-priced consumers.

Actually real estate experts expects that the demand and selling of the housing will be more during the festive season .. And we have noticed that, in spite of rising cost of land and construction in an economy that was lethargic at best, the real estate sector had looked forward to the festival season to offload rising inventories. But the expectations were failed to impress...

Yes Neha you are right, developers and brokers, this festive season saw the worst period after the global recession struck in 2008-09.!!!
