According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have they are allowing developers to defer premium payment is expected to help revive several highway projects stalled because of financial problems.

So guys what is the take of the companies??? Are they going down in terms of profit.Because the more delay the more amount of loss. What are they telling about this?

Yes this was also mentioned in the report that the National Highways Authority of India and private companies had earlier argued against higher discount rates, saying that such a package would not help reduce the financial stress they were facing. So they are fighting for their rights... its only after the approvals the constructions will start.

I want to share with you the information, that a committee is set up by the government to work out the package had in its draft report suggested back-ending of the premium be done with a discount rate of 10.75% to calculate the net present value of future cash flows.

Yes, even I have heard the news that developers of highways may have to wait longer for a bailout programme where the government had proposed to revive stalled projects. So untill they get the approvals the construction of the projects will not be stopped!

True Mr Anil, I have read a report that the ministry and the Planning Commission have objected to a key suggestion on delayed payment of premium, or the money that highway developers have committed to pay the government at the time of bidding for the projects.
