What is the condition of infrastructural development in the surrounding areas? How is Rajarhat connected with the major part of the Kolkata City?
Priya Gupta

Hello Priya,
Currently work on Metro Railway is in progress which can connect Rajarhat to the airport and further to the southern part of Kolkata city. Work on another metro route is also in progress connecting Salt Lake with central Kolkata and Howrah. Couple of expressways and flyovers are also introduced which can improve overall connectivity of this sub-market. Construction for star hotels like Westin and Novotel are in progress.

New Town Kolkata is a well-planned, fast growing metropolis. It is well-connected with the center of Kolkata, the airport, Salt Lake and other important places in and around the city by EM bypass.

Hi Bhabanishankar,
New Town Action Area 3 is a very prime residential locality of Kolkata and is well connected with the other parts of the city. It is well connected by train, buses and public transports. This is the most happening locality where all the big names of IT Companies and renowned Institution are coming up. After developing infrastructure for action area 1 & 2, HUDCO has shown its interest for Action Area 3. The current property rates in this area is 4200-4500/sq.ft. The property price in this area is increasing year by year since 2011.

In coming years Kolkata government has planned for wide roads, sewerage, water supply, planned development, modern transport systems including metro plan.
