We would like to rent out our flat and wanted some advise on the following:
1) What does a semi-furnished house include? 2) How best do we calculate the carpet area of our flat? 3) Do flats on higher floors fetch more than those on lower floors? 4) Is it better to rent out to companies as guesthouses or to individual families?
Please do let us have your thoughts as this is the first time we're renting.
Hello Nisha, 1) Semi furnished apartment means apartment with kitchen cupboards, bedroom wardrobes etc.
2) Carpet area is the actual usable area within an apartment minus wall thickness.
3) It differs from person to person. in some cases higher floors may fetch your more the same can be the case for lower floors. The advantage of living on the top floor are no heavy footsteps or loud street noise and reduced risk of robbery.
4) It is always better to rent it out to companies as guesthouses as you will get more rent but for guesthouses you have to take permission from the apartment association most probably.
