I think the problem lies in the fact that Mysore seems to be trying to expand very fast! 10 years ago Bogadi was considered a satellite township but now it is very much part of the main city of Mysore and places like Hunsur are now considered outskirts. This vast expansion must be good for the economy but it is putting a strain on the limited resources and that is why it is difficult to deliver proper civic facilities equally in all the localities. Give it time, and probably Mysore will learn from mistakes and there will be not only growth but also development, if you get what I mean :)

Hey the situation is not as bad now as before. But I remember lot of problems were there even last year. There were a lot of street dogs in Bogadi and they used to be very ferocious and attack passers by. The civic body used to round up strays all over the city and dump them in front of the People for Animals located nearby to Bogadi. But this is making the situation worse. The dogs aren't helped and neither are the people. It is not the fault of the dog and the solution should not be to kill all of them but it is very sad that we were in that situation in the first place.

I don't know about the present but in the past it was a menace to live in this area. Residents living in 250 houses had to suffer everyday because of some neighbourhood issue or the other. It's annoying that even after 20 years of being around, basic civic amenities are lacking. Even drinking water is a rare commodity as there is always some problem or the other with the bore well. People had to end up paying 600 to 700 rupees on water tankers as well as road cutting activities undertaken by the civic body to 'fix the drainage system'. No alternate provisions are also made.
