Outer Ring Road Project Completion in Mysore

Q: Hey can someone give me an update on the Outer Ring Road project? What exactly are the developmental changes? I'm from Bangalore and I have another home in Mysore so I need to constantly be communicating back and forth. So how good is the connectivity and road infrastructure?

Direction boards have almost been installed everywhere, and for the stretch that has been completed, about 40 to 50 curves are there. Speed limit on this expressway if 60 to 80 kmph.

Lot of project delays were there. But now there is new contractor. Work happened in 4 packages. After completion of last one, electricity will be provided and MUDA wants many species of trees to be planted all along this corridor.

All legal hurdles are cleared now and those lorries and trucks known to cause many accidents in the past, can now be avoided. The project costs a sum of Rs 64.28 and a lot of financial aid was provided to mysore for this project.

This project has been going on forever. Even now some works are still going on but the road is definitely usable now. this project has helped curb traffic on the Narasimharaja Boulevard and prevented heavy vehicles from entering the city.
