Infra projects affected by Telanganna issue?

Q: Hello. I've been hearing from everyone that this is not the right time to invest in the real estate market of Hyderabad because there's a lot of uncertainty and unrest that might hamper the development? Are some upcoming infrastructure projects getting stalled or delayed right now?

Now with the split of the state, even the elaborate plan of Lanco Hills project will have to reworked and changed to suit the new requiremtns.

Passenger traffic will again be affected, because Seemandra was initially going to be connected by metro rail to Hyd. Now these technicalities because the state is split will differ. Seemandra will have its own capital in 10 years and will want its own unique metro rail.

Oh by the way, if TRS wants to extend the project even underground, then the cost will go up by 20000 crore more. I wonder how we will get the funding for this project. That will be another delay.

Even the cost of the project has increased a lot. From 6000 crore in 2003 it has now become 15000 crore now.

Yeah and now Seemandra is going to have its own airport. This will definitely affect the passenger traffic in Hyderabad airport.

Really? I though that this project will provide water to 7.20 lakh acre in Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, and Krishna districts..
Vijay Krishna Koneru

7
Yes correct. It will also provide water of 23.44 TMC to Visakhapatnam also. But then I don't think this project is working out to its fullest potential right now.

Even Hyderabad metro rail project hasn't taken off as intended. First the Satyam scam had delayed it, then the Telanganna issue. And now some land acquiring problem. Wonder when it will be complete..

Yeah even though the Pollavaram project is considered a national project and all that jazz, still it is appening at a very slow pace and I don't think it is being fully extended to include all parts of the the 2 states. Only Seemandra will benefit.

Even the Hyderabad International airport will be affected by this now no? Because the first phase completion can hold 12 million passengers per annum and the second phase which is yet to be completed can hold 40 million passengers per annum.

Hey. I feel there is also going to be some problem with the Indira Sagar Polavaram Project. In Telanganna there is going to be an issue with the project, but Seemandra will still be able to utilise water from here for irrigation purposes.

Yes but after the split of the state, not too many investors are looking to invest. Before the split of the state, the projected investment was Rs.2.19 lakh crore. But now these projections have changed.

Hey there. Hyderabad Information Technology Investment Region is being developed in Hyderabad which will provide information for IT based companies. This will fuel real estate growth definitely.
Shilpa Vydyula

I heard that because the state is now split, Hyderabad is going to face 2000 MW power shortage. Many IT companies are going to lose interest to invest here because of that.
