The chief minister has also supported the Water Grid Scheme in nine Telangana district as he said that his government would support strengthening of the water supply system of HMWS&SB to make it more effecient and keep the operations running smooth in all regards.

Hey you know, The Chief Minister has directed the board to work on achieving the deficit and has asked to speed up the phase 1 of the Godavari project and Phase 3 of Krishna and keep the requirement fulfilled to supply the water.

The Water Board has some serious troubles with the distribution in this area. THe drinking requirement of the city is 35 TMC while only 20 TMC is being supplied. Of which 11 comes from Krishna and 7 from Singur and 2 xomes from Osmansagar and Himayatsagar.

KCR and team have shown some good foresight on this issue. Hyderabad is growing by the day and the population is increasing by 10 lakhs every year. Also there will be the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) which will require water resources to function for the industries and the people coming up here.

Also, KCR has asked the officials to come up with a better and effecient way to tap the rain water and harvest the maximm of it so that the city wouldn't have to depend on only the water from the dams.

Yes. The Telangana CM instructed the Water Board officials to start off with proposals for putting in a 160 km of ring main along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) corridor and other mains to connect to the water sources for tapping water from water reservoir to another which is a great initiative.

Yes, KCR read a detailed study done by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board and was impressed by it. So he decided to tell the officials to take further steps to prepare a plan to make it happen so that people from the Greater Hyderabad region get water.

Hello. Yes. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Shekhar Rao recently agreed the release of Rs. 100 crore to study the feasibilty of the routing of the water from Srisailam dam for drinking and other purposes to the Greater Hyderabad region.
