The government has encouraged public awareness to increase the preservation of ancestral homes though abundant tax credits and financial benefits. Today, small societies in cities and towns are including special guidelines to preserve and protect heritage and ancestral homes in the planning efforts.

At the same time the art of restoring a home to its original time requires a lot of information and some of them are historical appearance, composition of the design material, molding elements and cast material, the actual process used for the building the structure, educational guesses to the time, changes over time and possible destruction caused by some major disaster.

Trends in historical preservation are mainly composed of re-habilitation rather than re-construction, renovation and restoration work. Restoration is viable only if the original historical fabric has been destroyed or completely in a state of little preservation.
