Families that have occupied more than 500 sq. yards of area will be asked to pay the entire 100 % of the market value. But there's a twist on what the families are doing. They are occupying about 300 sq. yards of land to 1000 sq. yards where they have only built small sheds and not buildings. This could help them circumvent the rules and save some money while keeping the land.

Hello Some more info here. for lands between 125 sq. yards to 250 sq. yards about 50 % of the market value will be collected. While lands between 250 sq. yards and 500 sq. yards about 75 % of the market value.

The present price norm for the LRS is that the regularisation of 125 sq. yards or so of land would be done free of cost for the financially unstable poor people provided that their annual income is less than about Rs 2 lakh in total.

GHMC will be roll out the next stage which is the BRS only after the completion of the LRS which is going to take a little more time to be completed .

Hey. I heard some of them ranting about this regularisation schemes as an avenue to make a lot of money as the state barely has any money left in its kitty. Doing this means the government will get money for the LRS in phase I and BRS in phase II which is quite good planning if ou ask me,.

The problem right now is that the Telangana government is only taking up regularisation of lands on which buildings currently exist. The buildings existing on such lands will thus be treated as illegal buildings, which need to be regularised again which wil ltake a lot of money and time.
Verma

Yes. Exactly. The LRS will only regularise the land based on the availability and the budget but that does not really look into the houses, their quality and their adherence to the norms set by the GHMC. I think a Building Regularisation Scheme or BRS will have be introdced next.

So I heard several people talking that despite the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) is being worked out there is likelihood of illegal buildings remaining under the noses of the GHMC. The government will later have to come up with some other scheme to legalise the buildings.

So the unobjectionable land are about 24,000 of which 6000 of them have been verified. Also the administration has, you know, allotted a couple mor staff ro finish up the work quicker and is expected to be completed by the 20th of this month.

I read that an official say that the unobjectionable land are being verified thoroughly while the objectionable ones will be moderated and decisions will be taken based on the suggestions and the guidelines of the government once they review the case.

True. These objectionable lands can't be processed right away as it will take a lot of time even if they fit the GO 58 norms. Because even if the land is with the government there is a likely chance that they are already committed for several other purposes.

You know the Hyderabad district administration has received a total of 68,000 application in total from BPL families which have been encroached. But the sad part is about 44,000 of the encroached land are categoriseas objectionable and are not likely to get the nod from the administration.

Yes. The government is expected announce the list of lands that will be regularised the next month. The lands being considered are the ones that are less than 125 yards or so in its overall dimension as per the GO 58.

Hello. Hyderabad district administration has revealed that about two- third of the land regularisation applications by Below Poverty Line (BPL) families will most likely be quashed as there are a lot of violations in the lands that they have taken over.

These encroached lands, how big are they?
