Hey. I read that the project is still awaiting a go ahead from the MA&UD office. Once it is done the project heads are especting to call for tenders and start off the with hussainsagar clean up project. Can't wait to see how this goes.
DPR filed by them also suggest a construction of I and D unit adjacent to the existing one at Necklace Road, contingencies and miscellaneous work. HWSSB director and in-charge of the project G Rameshwar has been overlooking the developments that are taking place.
The consultants for this are NJS Consultants Co Ltd. They seem to be doing a pretty good job as they have studuied the whole project and have come up with several short and long term plans mong wich one was to include an alternative alignment through Kalasigude nala.
You know an ouside consultant is the one that determined the cost that the HMSSB will be bearing. The consultant had came up with a detailed project report (DPR) and gave the board the work to execute the 58.9 crore worth project.
Guess how much the water body is investing in this project? It's Rs. 59 crores. I think that's a huge weight being lifted off of the GHMC's chest. Telangana CM KCR had held talks with the two bodies to make this happen and he took feedback on the removal of silts, emptying and refilling plans.
GHMC will be the the leader of this but it will guide HMSSB with the tasks like the water board will be helping the GHMC with laying the sewerage lines and the construction of the Interception and Diversion units will be taken care by them.
Hello. Hyderabad Metropolitan Supply and Sewerage Board (HWS&SB) has actually come up with a plan to help GHMC with the clean up work of the Hussainsagar lake. If this works the two civic bodies will share the responsibilites between each other.
