Vytilla-Kakkanad ferry will be extended to Pallikkara
Q: Hello, what is this news about the Vytilla- Kakkanad ferry extending to Pallikkara? Tell me more about it. I live in Pallikkara and this is exciting.
The director od SWTD Shaji NAir was heard saying that this wi fi service help their client base as they are also targetting those who travel to the Info Park and other IT corridors in and around the Kakkanad area.
True. The total journey time is about 20 minutes and the wi fi will be free for the first five minutes after which money will be charged. Actually this could all happen in a month's time if the officials are to be believed.
You know this project will largely reduce the time taken to travel between the places that it will go to in any other means of transport also it could be fun. The wifi will be free for a while during the travel too as of what I heard.
Hi there. Sure. See this wi fi thing will still take some time as there is no necessary infrastructure to make to make it happen. It will be built at the Vytilla Mobility Hub after which the internet will come up.
I have some good news for you if you use this ferry to travel in Kakkanad. It is soon going to get free Wi-Fi service. A proposal for this is being worked out and a consultation is also midway with a service provider.
A proposal for this has already been submitted and the Kerala cabinet have approved of this too. A funding of about Rs. 4.5 crores is also allocated. This will be used by the irrigation department to deepen the river and make the river better suited for navigation.
Hello. This is a great move I suppose. One thing is this will add another about eight more kilometres through the Kadambrayar River to the already built sector. It is actually expected to attrract more tourists than the local coimmuters.
The Kerala State Water Transport Department (SWTD) is actually trying to extend the Vytilla-Kakkanad ferry to Pallikkara in order to attract more commutes to this. This of course is still in the developing stages and nothing is really known for sure.
