To meet its targets, SCB this year is keen on recovering at least a part of the nine crore rupees that the Begumpet airport owes in property tax over the last decade. As the matter was adjudged in the High Court, SCB plans to petition the court to recover its dues.
As far as i can recall, last year, SCB collected Rs. 17 crore in property tax. With complete compliance, the area can realise a revenue potential of Rs. 100 crore, which would be of great help to the growth and development of Hyderabad in my opinion.
