Did you know that Mr. Thakral, one of the investors said genome mapping was at the frontier of technological innovation and the Singapore Angel Network was backing Mapmygenome to scale and make the technology commercially available to people pro-active about their health.

Well according to Mapmygenome CEO Anu Acharya they are looking to expand their team (leadership, sales and marketing and genetic counselling network)… [and] invest in some assets and scale up their research.

I heard from a friend that without revealing the amount, the company has said the funds will be used to scale up operations in India and globally. This reflects very positively on the growing e-business model in India

I think that this is a very good sign for the growth of internet business in India. With domestic sites like this tasting success and expanding by acquiring funds, this will potentially inspire a lot of other small businesses and websites.

I have been following this news, and from what i can gather, CMS Computers MD Aarti Grover, Hive Technologies MD Arihant Patni and Singapore Angel Network CEO Satveer Singh Thakral are among the investors. That is a very impressive line up in my opinion.

Yes, your friend is right! Personal genomics and predictive tests firm Mapmygenome recently said it has raised a pre-series A round of funding from multiple sources, including Google India managing director Rajan Anandan. Good to see such domestic websites grow and evolve.

Can some one please tell me who all are part of this funding process? Thanks for answering!
