Demolition of properties for Hyderabad metro in Hyderabad
Q: Hi, I got to know that there has been some progress on the decision about demolishing the properties that come in the way of the Hyderabad Metro. What is it? Can you share it with me?
yeah that's true. The traffic should not be hit in any way. I think that the restoration works should be done immediately after the construction to restore aesthetics and also to facilitate free flow of traffic.
I am of the opinion that the acquisition of GVM properties should be simplified so as to expedite them faster. Moreover, the TSSPDCL should take up the work on top priority to avoid inconvenience to the traffic and commuters.
I think now there is also discussion going on for the construction plan of the 3rd bridge connecting the Rangmahal junction and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station. I came to know that a detailed presentation was made in which encroachments in Musi were shown and CS instructed Revenue Department, Collector, Hyderabad, Commissioner, GHMC and MD, HMR to jointly launch a drive for removal of encroachments.
Yeah..that's true. You know, in this around 193 properties are owned by private parties and the 61 properties in this are ownned by the government. I think they are planning to accelerate the process of demolition and more people are cooperating to the new land acquisition act.
I think that recently only 27 more properties have been demolished in Hyderabad for the Hyderabad Metro project. With this, I think that the total remaining number of properties to be demolished for the metro rail project has now come down to 254.
Oh yeah..I think that there has been a meeting of the Special Task Force (STF) conducted by the Telangana Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma for reviewing the progress of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. In that I think demolishion of the properties was also discussed.
