Q: Hello, So I heard that the blueprint for the Telangana secretariat is now ready. What is it like? Do you know?

You know the chief minister K CHandrashekara Rao's intention is to complete the new secretariat building within one year after the contract is awarded. The process of appointment of consultant and final drawings will be ready within three months to make sure of that.

The amount of area available right now is some 72 acres, out of which only some 25 acres will be used for the construction of the secretariat. The rest of the land will be used for development of greenery and amenities for visitors.

One of the officials related to this has said that a consultant of international repute will be chosen to design the building as the secretariat building architecture should reflect the culture of Telangana. So expect this to be a pretty good thing.

Hey, The revenue department needs more space, you know, because I heard it is quite large, it has to be, right? and the tourism department is smaller compared to other departments. So they will find some small space for the tourism department.

As per the new plan, each minister along with the departmental secretaries and heads of departments would be accommodated in the same floor in the new complex. The floor space will be allotted to each depending upon the size of the department.

Right now some offices such as those of the commissioner of agriculture, the commissioner and director of municipal administration and the director of health are located outside the secretariat while others have been functioning from within the secretariat.

Hi. About two blocks in the secretariat would be allotted to various departments, one block will be dedicated solely to the chief minister and his office. Initially, about 100 departments that need to be accommodated in the new complex have been identified.

But the land right now is in the control of the medical and health department. So I think they must have acquired it from them. By the way, the secretariat will have three separate blocks would be constructed (five to six floors each) with additional space for parking.

Did you know a file has been sent to the finance department for appointment of a consultant for preparing plans and drawings and also handing over 72 acres of the hospital land to R&B department. We'll see how that goes.

Hello. Right now. The state government has earmarked an amount of Rs 150 crore for the construction of the new secretariat in the 2015 - 16 budget after deciding to shift the Chest and TB hospital to a location in Vikarabad.

The blueprint of this has come with all the details of the number of departments that will be accommodated and the floor spaces required for it and also number of office blocks that needs to be built.

Yes. A blueprint for the new secretariat building has finally been done. Telangana government has started the construction process of its new secretariat at Erragadda.A blue print has been developed by the ROads abd Buildings (R & B) department.
