Q: Hello, Now with the water problem issue looming large, I heard that the Telangana govt. has invested some money to tackle it? What are these measures?
The Chief Minister has also instructed all the legislators and other public representatives to inform the concerned authorities wherever there is severe drinking water crisis in the state and the city and take up relief measures on war footing.
Government as been proactive in handling this issue. It has orrdered for borewells which were dug up and repairs were undertaken on dried up borewells across the state apart from pressing water tankers into service where there was no water.
The minister fo the Panchayat Raj and Information Technology has said that several officials along with himself made a study of the areas with the water issues over the last 45 days and have come up with this plan.
This plan is there for place where the fround water levels have gone down recently. These include most of the localities in the city which has seen some drastic falls in the underground water level in the city. I think this plan will work out for the better.
The government led by K Chandra Sekara Rao has already sanctioned Rs. 263 crores to make sure that all the districts including Hyderabad and the city so that they can get enough water and no body stays without it.
