Need to Convert Agricultural Land to Residential layout in Gundulpet, CH Dist. Karnataka

Q: I have around 5 acre Agricultural Land in my Native, I am Planning to Convert Agricultural Land to Residential layout, I would like to know the procedure and i would like to know Approximately how much amount required to complete the project.

You have to obtain a legal permission by paying a minimal fee to the District Commissioner. The process is known as DC Conversion.

The procedure includes obtaining No Objection Certificate from the Town Planning Authority under Section 95 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act. 1964.

If the land is agricultural and you are planning to use the land for residential purpose then it has to be converted to non-agricultural land. A non-agriculture order has to be obtained from the collector of the district where the property is situated. You also have to collect the latest receipts for the payment of non-agriculture tax. If the conversion from agricultural use to non agriculture use is not done within a particular time frame, there should be an order from the government authority concerned extending the period.
