VAT on Omaxe Hills II project

Q: Received offer of possession letter for Omaxe hills II project glory tower: Was surprised to see VAT amount of 4% on basic sale price which is close to 2.5L. Have other buyers received such VAT amount in demand letter? Kindly share your views.

Thanks Aman. I thought the final decision is yet to be taken. I know other projects (in Faridabad) where offer of possession was offered without VAT.

Hi Vipul,
As per sources, the developer can pay VAT at the rate 4% on project cost, that will include construction material, cement, sand & labour. This has be designed by Harayana Government.
