Hello dear, Greater Hyderabad metropolis has been chosen and is to be developed as a smart city. It is also shortlisted to be among the first 20 cities in the initial and first phase to kick start the works. So Hyderabad city would get Rs.500 crores from the centre over an interval of 5 years for the progress of the city. Hyderabad, as a smart city, would be capable of drawing investments from the global markets and could be capable of competing with the opposite cities.
Hi Raajan, Recently The ministry of defence (MoD) has chosen Secunderabad Cantonment to put in force `Smart City' options within the cantonment as the local body has launched five schemes which would make it 'smart'. It also chose 5 different cantonments Pune, Meerut, Deolali, Roorkee and Ferozpur for rolling out the project mission.
I think the concept of smart city is to make the life easier for the people. The objective of 'Smart City' venture is to promote cities that furnish core infrastructure and provides a decent high-quality of lifestyles to its residents, a clear and sustainable atmosphere. Smart cities are to provide best of the roads, civic amenities, mass transportation facilities, clean and green environment, better connectivity to different parts of the country, security to the public, etc.
Hyderabad remains probably the most low cost metro for home buyer, followed by Ahmedabad and Kolkata. Good roads approach improving the present condition & quality of the roads, widen the present roads to provide smooth flow of public, establish the traffic bottle necks, construct flyovers and sky-ways where required, and also to plan and furnish for brand new roads to decongest the roads with the ever growing traffic.
