Hi all,
It sounds really good. And i heard that this impact will occur in two phases, one during construction and one during occupancy. And for that the government has allowed the rural development ministry to meet additional financial requirement of Rs. 21975 crore by borrowing through National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Yes, and this amount will be paid through budgetary allocation after 2022. It is also mentioned that the funds will be transferred electronically directly to the account of the beneficiary.

Now a question is coming in everybody's mind that how will they meet the additional requirement??? So, to meet up the additional requirement of building materials, manufacturing of bricks using cement stabilized earth or fly ash will be taken up under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The beneficiary will also be allowed to get 90 days of unskilled labour under MGNREGS.

As per the report, the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana scheme will be implemented in rural areas throughout India except Delhi and Chandigarh. And the cost of houses will be shared between the Centre and states in 60:40 ratio in the plains and 90:10 in hilly areas. And it is said that a National Technical Support Agency will provide support in achieving the rural housing targets.

I hear that the government has also decided to improved the unit size of these houses from the existing 20 sq-mt to up to 25 sq-mt including a dedicated area for hygienic cooking.

This scheme will provide financial help for construction of pucca house to all homeless and also to households living in shabby houses.
