Unauthorized housing society has got approval of Greater Cochin Authority
Q: Yes, the decision to sell Greater Cochin Development Authority land to Civil Service Officer's Housing Cooperative Society has turned darksome with it being found that the society has not been registered.
Hi folks, But it is come to know that the GCDA executive committee''s decision was to sell 50.35 cents to Civil Service Officer''s Cooperative Society, the name given in the application submitted by the office-bearers of the society.
Right Puneet, Even the GCDA records has mentioned that ''Civil Service Officer's Cooperative Society''. The name ''All India Civil Service Cooperative Society in Thiruvananthapuram district'' is nowhere in the GCDA records.
The person to whom the controversial land has been leased out by GCDA told that he would move court against the development agency's decision. I think, this would be right approach to deal with such incident. If you have enough proof then you should move to the court.
Yes, Saiju Mohammed is right. Because the lease agreement would be expiring only in 2020. So, the GCDA authorities don't have the power to remove them forcefully. They will challenge the decision in court.
Yes, there is a contradictions in the application submitted by the president of the society and the registration certificates issued by the registrar of cooperative societies. In the society's application to the GCDA asking land for constructing an apartment but the president is saying that they would soon get the society registered.
@Subramanya, In the application submitted on September 3, 2015, society president states that a request has been placed before the chief secretary for permission to register the society. In February, 2016, they submitted a certificate issued by the registrar general stating that All India Civil Service Cooperative Society in Thiruvananthapuram district is a registered society. Now, tell me, do you think that it is society's mistake.
