Yes, Property registration charges has been increased by 2% in Uttar Pradesh. Now you have to 7% as Stamp Duty and 1% as registration charges for rest of the UP.

Hello Krishnaveni,
The UP Government has hiked registration and stamp duty charges for home buyers from 5% to 7% (an increase of 2%) in Noida and greater Noida (7% was the nominal charge for the rest of the State of UP). A rebate of Rs 10,000 (on the 7%) is given if the property is transferred to a female owner. And Registration charges is 1 %.
