Vastu tips for layout of a house and its interior
Starting from the foundation to the layout and the interior of a house, Vastu plays an important role. While designing the layout of the house, vastu experts recommend guidelines that said to bring prosperity to the residents and ensures a harmonious living.
Positive zone and Negative Zone
Vastu takes into account two main zones, namely the positive and negative zones, while building a house. The positive zones should be treated with light matter, while the negative zones should be kept heavy. Positive zones fall into the North, East and Northeast directions while the negative zones comprise of space under the South, West and Southwest directions. Nowadays architect and vastu experts work together as a team in finalizing the entire building layout and design to make it vastu compliant building.
Vastu for home interior and the furniture
White marble is considered auspicious and recommended for the flooring of Pooja rooms. Other room flooring can be mosaic, ceramic tile and marble available in various colors and designs.
The house must be well lit and vastu recommends the natural light to come into your home.
The sofa set and heavy furniture should be placed in negative zones like South, West and Southwest directions. Almirahs should placed in such a way that it opens towards the north.
In the bedroom, the southwest direction should be aligned with the bed, leaving the southwest corner. The bedroom must have light colored curtains while the living room can have dark colored ones.
Avoid keeping a mirror opposite the bed in the bedroom.
Dining table should be placed in the northwest corner of the room. The table should not have sharp edges and should also be placed without touching the walls.
Cooler, A.C and Fridge should be placed in the northwest portion of the room, while the TV can be placed in the North, East or Southeast part of the room.
Choose light colors like light blue, green, pink and cream for the rooms. Red and black color should be avoided in the house.
Cleaning accessories like brooms, vacuum cleaners, dusters etc. should never be kept near the main door, but should be stored in the northwest corner of the house.
