MR.RAFIK SALEMOHAMMED JAFRANI is the third generation from Jafrani family in the business of trading of Steel required for Building Construction. HAMY stands for Haji Ali Mohammed Yakub, grandfather of Mr. Rafik, who started Steel business in 1950 in Pune as a proprietor of Haji Ali Mohammed Yakub & Sons. The business developed over the years and today it operates through the group concerns like Jafrani & Co., Hamy Steel Pvt. Ltd & Hamy Steel Yard. Mr. Rafik joined the family business in 1978 at the age of 16 and after a through experience in all business areas ventured in construction business at the age of 23 in 1985 as a partner of M/s Mass Construction Company along with Mr. Juzar Rampurwala.
