Indirapuram, a modern township in Ghaziabad, is a popular realty destination in the NCR region. An ideal residential locality, Indirapuram is only 18 km from the nation's capital, New Delhi. It has been thoroughly planned and divided into seven blocks.
The locality was once a dusty, deserted area in Ghaziabad, but has now been transformed drastically. The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) was responsible for developing the locality, which displays carefully laid out roads, open areas, parks, and sewers. The development of the locality started in the 80s, but it became a popular realty destination only after 2000.
Although mostly a residential locality, Indirapuram has certain pockets of commercial establishments. There are a few markets near Shipra Sun City, and also a few near the Shaheed Devinder Singh Jass Road. But, there is a dearth of shopping markets in the area for the conisderably big population here. More and Big Bazaar are two prominent shopping centres located in Indirapuram.
There may be a dearth of malls, but Indirapuram has strong social infrastructure, hosting several educational institutions and hospitals on its land. Some of the reputed educational institutions include Delhi Public School, St. Francis School, and Indirapuram Public School, while hospitals such as Sparsh Hospital, Avantika Hospital, and Shanti Gopal Hospital are also located here.

The area also enjoys brilliant connectivity to key commercial markets such as New Delhi, Noida, and Greater Noida. Another pull factor is the planned nature of the locality, as well as the excellent social and physical infrastructure.
