Overview

Wakad is a suburb located in the west of Pune. It comes under the municipal limits of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation which offered it a full-fledged drainage system and provided electricity, water and good roads. Presence of a good amount of agricultural activities in the surrounding areas led the PCMC to take charge of Wakad, whereby the locality got electricity, water and good roads.
