Over 60 percent of the realty available for buyers in the locality are regular apartments. There are only a few service apartments along Hennur Road, around 6 percent of Villas, and a good 11 percent of houses. Investors and developers are still in the process of buying layouts and plots, this is why 20% of the realty found are layouts and plots. The sale prices, per square foot, for apartments have seen some ups and downs. The prices took a nosedive in the third quarter of 2013, to 3790 Rupees per square foot. The construction work for the Hennur Flyover begun in 2010, and was expected to be completed by 2012. But the residents and city-to-airport commuters alike are still awaiting its completion. The reason behind this delay is that the BDA is still trying to acquire the necessary land required to finish the construction, from landowners.
